Success stories
I have been working with GeneralCom since 2002. Over this long period, working for several mobile operators and their suppliers, we have worked together very successfully on various and often very complex projects, which have always been successfully carried out together. GeneralCom has helped me a lot with their expertise, professional and customer-driven approach and excellent project management.
GeneralCom is the partner I can always count on!
Vantage Towers
GeneralCom has been a stable partner in mobile network implementation for a long time. We can always count on their telecommunication expertise, planning and implementation capacity and flexibility to support our annual plans.
One
During my one year cooperation with the company, I have had the opportunity to meet and work individually or in groups with all the white-collar workers, managers and owners.
It was surprising that an SME company invests so consciously and determinedly into the training and development of its employees. I really enjoyed visiting their offices and talking to their colleagues. They always had a kind word for me and were very open to topics I had taught them or we had worked on together. In short: they are good people. This is more important for me than anything else.
Franklin Covey
GeneralCom has been supporting Hungarian sailing for more than a decade. With its reliability and commitment, the company has become a key supporter of our White Ribbon races.
Their support promotes not just the success of the athletes, but also contributes to spreading the love and value of sailing as widely as possible.
We are proud to work with such a stable and inspiring partner.

Projects we are proud of
Budapest, Sziget Festival
There is no higher user density anywhere else. We have been installing this local Telenor network since 2010 so we can clearly see the dynamic growth in demand. Currently, 7 base stations can cover the whole area for the period of events with approx. 40 antennas and 90 RRUs. All of them have to be set up within 1 week before the event and there is only 36 hours to dismantle them afterwards. If you want to know more about it please watch the Mobilarena video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qOtBB0NnQM
Albertirsa, Warehouse
GeneralCom was mandated by Vantage Towers to install a new base station for Vodafone. The existing tower on top of the building did not meet the requirements so we decided to change it. Alike the Lakihegy Broadcasting Tower, the new lattice tower leans on a single point on the roof ridge and is tethered by steel cables. The construction status shown in the picture is just temporary and the structure was adjusted to vertical position before On-Air.
Mátraszentimre, Red Rock Lookout Tower
Coverage had to be provided at that location but the municipality had not permitted regular tower. As a compromise solution we built a beautiful 19th century-style lookout tower which tourists have enjoyed visiting ever since. If you pass by this region, do not forget to have a look: https://maps.app.goo.gl/quyhA4DyRVcGE5Au7
Tatabánya, Monopol tower
The existing structures are often no longer strong enough to accommodate newer and newer technologies. That was the case with this Vodafone tower as well which failed the structural analysis for deformation. Therefore, based on an idea come from sailing, the structure was reinforced with steel drawrods.
Törökbálint, Hydroglobus
Telekom and Vodafone were already broadcasting from the water tower when we installed Telenor’s devices. We had to replace the existing structure with a multi-operator one due to lot of antennas to be deployed. The beauty of the task was to do all of this within an extremely short time in order to cause as little inconvenience as possible for the users. Telenor also felt the heaviness of the task so they made their own video about the event: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mW5mjcZoMjFPde8OzrvLf-C2YqpLEjsS/view
Szentendre, Fire Tower
As usual, there were already two operators’ equipment on site when Telenor requested us to install their base station. The municipal architect only allowed us to settle in if we concealed all the equipment. Therefore we built a wooden heightening on the ground which we lifted into its place nighttime with a giant crane and a unique lifting boom. This made the task really spectacular, you can watch a short video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xO7vRyQvTG0
